This is one of the stranger music adaptations I’ve done.  While Steve Hackett’s Defector is a fairly straightforward concept album about a cold war era Soviet defector, in this particular picture I mixed my own characters and story ideas over the framework of the album.  Since I did this picture over 10 years ago, I don’t exactly remember what my motive was for that particular approach.  To those who are familiar with my comics, the images in this occur after the conclusion of the comic I’m currently working on, The City of Ice.  These scenes are from the final part of the Jet story—during the terrible war that took place after Reezon returns to Earth.

(If you’re not familiar with my comics none of this will make any sense.  Sorry.  Hopefully the pictures will still look cool, though.)

Any odd reflections or discolorations on the images are a result of the scanner reflecting off either the glass or the acetate overlay.  I tried to fix some of the worse glare, but there’s still some problems.
